Technology can be heavenly

In the past few years libraries have changed dramaticly. It use to be that books were the only item of choice. Then came video cassettes and DVD's. Also we got books on cassettes (BOC) and finally BCD's. Now we have computers which allow us to download books and do all kinds of neat stuff like view the card catalog and even few books from other libraries in the state. We can eve go on line and view book stores and museums and our favorite places in the world. With the help of the computer we can go to anywhere and talk to people we don't even know.
This has made books a little obsolete. WE can even check out our own items without help from any staff member. Something that frightens me because I am afraid that we will no longer be able to talk to one another. If you haven't been to a library lately stop in and be amazed.
